By:  Cipta JayaKids Exercise Equipment

Having your kids to do their exercises at home has a few benefits.  Certain areas of your home like the porch, living room or back yard would be suitable for them to have exercises.  Take a look at these benefits that you’ll get by having them to do exercises at the comfort of your own home:

  1. You provide them with a positive activity for them to do.  No one can tell you that having your kids to do exercise at home is a bad thing, right?  It is always a good thing for them to exercise on a regular basis at home.
  2. Exercise together with your kids.  This is a good opportunity for any parent to spend quality time with their kids.  Parents might run out of ideas of how to spend their time with their kids, and this is just another good idea that you might use.
  3. Having trouble to put your kids to sleep at night?  Well, having them to exercise a few hours before bed time will help in this matter.  Not only that they’ll get to sleep easier, they’ll also have better sleep.
  4. Avoid obesity for your kids.  Kids will become obese (fat) not only because they tend to eat junk food all the time, but also because they are not provided with enough exercise to burn the fat.

These are just a few of many other benefits that parents might have if their kids do their exercise at home.  But parents like you might ask, what sort of equipments do I need for the kids to do their exercises?  Let me explain about them right here.

Kids Exercise Equipment

Kids don’t need fancy equipment to do their exercise at home.  Equipments like jumping ropes, resistance bands, dumbbells, and workout balls should be more than enough.

Depending on their age range, kids should be allowed to have between 10-30 minutes workout period each day.  Remember that kids tend to get bored easily, and so you have to provide them with a variety of exercise routines.  Look for exercise videos from the internet will greatly help you in this.

Buying Kids Exercise Equipment

Always try them before you buy them.  Make sure that whatever equipment that you buy for your kids is safe and stable, and more importantly, it is fun to use.  Otherwise, your kids won’t use them.  And always make sure that your kids know how to properly use the equipment.

If you child is still quite young (under 10 years old), a jumping rope or workout ball might be the only thing that’s needed.  If you happen to have set up a home gym, exercise machines like treadmills and recumbent exercise bikes are suitable for kids age 10 and up.  Make sure that they are under supervision when they use them.

Fitness Clubs and workout centers today provide exercise bikes, of which have a wide range of types and designs.

Exercise bikes are used for exercising and not for normal transportation, and so we should not use them outdoors like taking them out to rocks or mountains.  These are special purpose exercise machines that look like bicycle, but they are unlike any normal bicycles that we know.

The models and types of these exercise bike designs that we know of are stationary bikes, cardio bikes, recumbent bikes and spinner bikes.  Each of these exercise bikes has different resistance methods like magnetic, flywheel or air.  You can change your ordinary bicycle into stationary exercise bicycle by placing it on a trainer or on rollers.

Types exercise bikes

Stationary exercise bikes are used to burn down extra fat while you’re exercising, and therefore help to slim down your body.

Stationary exercise bikes have three different styles and each is available on different prices, they include upright, semi-recumbent and recumbent models.

You can sit and exercise comfortably on these bikes while watching TV, have a conversation with a friend or reading a book.

To increase the pedaling efficiency as well as comfort for extended riding, the recumbent bike is designed ergonomically.   A user can do pedaling on the pedals out in front and sit in a chair-shaped seat in recumbent bikes.  It is designed to help improve the overall functions of heart, increase stamina and also strengthen the muscles in legs and arms.  People who are suffering from joint pain and lower back pain can do workout on this bike with ease.

Cardio bikes, as the name suggests, work on the cardiovascular system of your body.  A user can do both easy and hard training on cardio bikes just by flicking their wrists.  The goal of cardio bikes is to improve the core stability and increase blood flow, and also to strengthen the muscles of the legs.

Features of exercise bikes

Exercise bikes are quite safe, as there’s minimal chance of anyone falling from it.

For people suffering from arthritis, exercise bikes are very beneficial for them as these bikes produce no stress on body parts like knees or ankles.  The probability to sustain an injury during training would also be less since the stress is less on your body.

Some exercise bikes are programmable to different and various biking routines.  It will automatically switch over to the next level, and so you don’t have to keep pressing different buttons just to change different training levels.

Some of these exercise bikes can also be plugged into televisions and you can pedal while watching visual courses.

Before Buying a Bike

Before you purchase an exercise bike, take time to think about budget, room space and the type of exercise bike that you’re going to need.

Try to compare different exercise bikes based on their features and prices on various websites.

For moderate users, there are options of old bikes in good condition.

Try to get suggestions and advice from friends or gym trainers who already use these exercise bikes, as their experience and opinion would point you out into getting the right exercise bike for you.
But if somehow you’re confused in what sort of exercise bike that you want to get, try getting a spinner bike.  You can never go wrong with it, as it provides an easy option of doing intense workout and burn your calorie all at the same time.
